DEPLOYABLE DEBRIS [SOFTCORE]

In the dynamic realm of Rust, a thrilling addition has been made to enhance the gameplay experience in the softcore mode. Now, deployable objects within your base will leave behind a damaged version upon destruction, allowing for swift repairs post-raid and efficient base restoration. When these objects are demolished, they will release 50% of their contents, while the remaining 50% will be securely stored within, accessible only to the rightful owners. In the event that a deployable loses its ground and is destroyed, it will descend to the nearest position and cannot be instantly repaired. However, players can retrieve it using a hammer and repair it later at a repair bench. This innovative feature applies to various deployables, including Large Wooden Box, Storage Barrels, Small Wooden Box, Coffin, Small Furnace, Electric Furnace, Locker, Tool Cupboard, Fridge, Vending Machine, and all Workbenches.Notably, Tool Cupboards in their destroyed state retain building authorization within their normal radius for 48 hours and can only be repaired by authorized players. While this feature is currently exclusive to the softcore game mode as an experimental addition, there is potential for it to transition to the vanilla game in the future.

RESPAWN CHANGES [SOFTCORE]

Exciting changes have been implemented in the Softcore mode regarding respawning mechanics, enhancing player experience and convenience. The Reclaim Terminal at Outpost has been eliminated, streamlining the respawn process for players who perish outside a building privilege radius. In Softcore, upon death outside the radius, players will automatically respawn with 50% of their inventory intact, eliminating the need for arduous journeys to reclaim lost items. This revised system is faster, cleaner, and more forgiving.Furthermore, the calculation for the 50% inventory retention has been refined to ensure a fair distribution, where players now retain 50% of the total count for stackable items, enhancing predictability and balance. These adjustments aim to reduce post-death frustrations in Softcore mode, catering to players navigating the game's challenges or seeking a smoother reentry into gameplay.

UPKEEP TAX CHANGES [SOFTCORE]

Softcore mode introduces revamped upkeep rates for doors, discouraging excessive base expansion and promoting a more engaging raiding experience. Notably, building blocks remain unaffected by these adjustments. The alteration significantly impacts larger bases, elevating door upkeep to around 90% compared to the vanilla rate of 30%. This change particularly affects sprawling bases with multiple doors, imposing a substantial maintenance cost. By discouraging excessive door fortifications that remain untouched for extended periods, the update aims to foster a more dynamic gameplay environment, encouraging strategic base design and raiding tactics.

PVP DAMAGE [SOFTCORE]

Softcore mode prioritizes a balanced and inclusive gaming experience, especially for newcomers or casual players navigating the unforgiving world of Rust. To enhance combat dynamics and reduce the severity of early PvP encounters, bullet damage between players has been reduced by 25% in Softcore mode. This adjustment allows for more tactical engagements, offering players a slightly extended window to react, reposition, or engage in combat encounters. The intention is to encourage prolonged, strategic battles that provide players with opportunities to actively participate in engagements rather than facing immediate defeat.

SLEEPING BAG CHANGES [SOFTCORE]

In Softcore mode, alterations have been made to the functionality of Sleeping Bags, Towels, and Beds, enhancing the respawn mechanics for players. When these spawn points are destroyed, they are replaced with a unique version that permits one final respawn at that location.Once respawned, the bag is rendered non-functional, indicated by a skull icon on the map or respawn screen, signifying the end of its usability.
