Rust Stay Alert Update: Tin Can Alarms and More

Tin Can Alarm
This month, Rust introduces the Tin Can Alarm, a new primitive trap crafted from hanging tin cans. When its wire is crossed, the trap triggers a loud clatter, alerting anyone nearby to your presence. This new feature can be deployed anywhere, from your base to inside monuments, providing strategic coverage of access points and enhancing defensive positions.

Replicated Bush Sounds
Rust has updated its classic bush rustle sounds, making them audible to nearby players. Similar to footsteps, the noise level varies with movement speed—slower movement through bushes produces quieter sounds. This change also applies to rustles made in hot air balloon tarps, adding a new layer of strategy to stealth gameplay.

Underwater Items
Dropped items in water will now sink more realistically, slowing down and being affected by currents, while emitting bubbles as they move and settle on the ocean floor. This adjustment aims to make locating these items easier.

Zipline Improvements
Several enhancements have been made to the powerline zipline system:
- Ziplines will now select the furthest possible destination instead of the closest.
- The maximum zipline length has increased from 150m to 185m.
- Ziplines can terminate at higher points, reducing the need for climbing.
- Players can no longer be dismounted by trees while on a zipline.
These improvements result in longer, higher, and safer ziplines.
NPC Vendor Price Changes
Adjustments have been made to the dynamic vendor pricing system:
- Price changes now occur in real time, improving clarity and compatibility with servers that manipulate in-game time.
- Prices will change every 5 real-time hours, slowing down the rate of change compared to the previous 15-minute intervals.
These changes aim to stabilize the pricing system, with further adjustments to follow as needed.

Trains break barricades
