Rust Halloween 2024 Update: Candy Hunts and Monsters
Halloween Event Overview
The annual Halloween event in Rust is back, bringing spooky fun and unique gameplay elements. This year's event runs until November 7th, offering players a chance to engage in special activities and earn exclusive rewards.
Candy Hunt Event
Every two in-game days, the Candy Hunt event kicks off, giving players three minutes to collect as much candy as possible. The top three players receive special loot bags, which can contain anything from scrap to an M249. Even if you don't make it to the top, collected candies can be upgraded for better loot.
Monster Crafting
Players can now use body parts from scarecrows and mummies to create their own monsters. By crafting a Frankenstein's table, you can assemble and awaken a monster to follow and protect you. Control your monster using the "P" key or customize the key binding if needed.
Mysterious Portals
Portals have appeared across the island, possibly linked to cultist activities or a Cobalt experiment gone wrong. While their purpose remains unclear, only a few have dared to enter and return. Server owners can manage portal numbers using the halloweendungeon.population convar.
New Halloween Items
This year's update introduces three Halloween-themed items: Frankenstein and Mummy masks, along with a Dracula cape and mask available in the limited item store.
